I have been thinking about this line a lot since I read it first.. Looks really simple sounds great but there’s so much more to it… Especially when you actually feel it understand its real meaning and at times you even know what all you can do but the worst is when you don’t even have that courage to make amends and knowingly you keep screwing up your life!!!

It’s only when you are completely fresh & relaxed that you actually realize the depth of such simple lines or should I say its only then “Hum har panne ko dil se padh pate hain” otherwise “Hum bhi sirf panne hi palat rahe hain haroz”

“Ishq di mere mitra pehchaan ki. Mit jaave jadon zid apnan di” {Via – Namaste London}

Unlike the real meaning of these lines as described in the movie as “ Pyar ka matlab sirf hasil karna hi nahin hai” I also have a different version of the meaning.. It’s not the deep out of the world meaning infact it is just the straightaway word by word meaning in Hindi but it does have a depth to it…

I feel it also means “Ishq ki doston pehchaan ki kya jab kisi ko paane ki zid hi khatam ho jaye” what I mean is after we get someone we always wanted if we start taking that person for granted and don’t try to want that person a little more every day, we stop considering every day as something new and a little more beautiful than the previous one and do not make that person feel more loved with each new day then I guess love has lost its meaning…

There are a lot of threads on internet that describe the meaning of these words but there’s actually no real meaning of any word it’s the perception of the person reading it and his/her state of mind at that particular moment.

This actually reminds me of a few lines I composed long time back while listening to a song and hearing different perception of my friends about the lyrics…

“Log kehte hain Shabdon mein bahut taqat hai… yeh Lafz chahen to Dil badal

sakte hain insaan badal sakte hain aur to aur yeh poora mulkh badal sakte

Oh yes FYI I am not drunk today, it’s just that I have created the right environment around, Coke studio kind of music, Newspaper covering the Tube Lights, just the right room temperature, Work from home day so completely relaxed {No traffic jams & potholes} takes me back to the good old tension free college life and my hills facing Hostel room! Deep thoughts amidst the deep hills are inevitable…

Baavren dill kya karne chala hai..

 Yesterday someone asked me :- How can you stay Positive all the time and so charged up?

I would really like to share this with all of you, the reason why I Stay positive and fully charged up every morning is because of YOU, Yes you read it right its because of you people.

Every Morning when I wake up, I am happy for the most simple reason that God gave me another day to Enjoy, I always say it you never know what’s going to happen in Future what you have with you is a Present called Today – Live it up!!

You think your life has problems, well Look around whose Life is perfect, just because someone is smiling doesn’t mean his/her life is perfect.

Every Morning when I enter My office and the Guards at the entrance Stands and smiles and wishes Good Morning, That’s the start of a great day – Is there life problem free? I Doubt that so if they can still manage to Give a smile why can’t You!!

But I am also Human by the end of the day I am also frustrated because of things and I also feel my life has problems, and its when You guys play the most important role in my LIFE… Being there with me!! No mater how bad the day is, the happiness I get when I meet my friends in evening just refreshes me and charge me all over again And when I see problems around me , my own problems looks really small!!

1 Golden Rule – Do what your heart says, Be adjusting but don’t compromise and never ever go against your principles!!

 If you really want do something just do it and that involves choosing your career , just give it a shot, take a risk – trust me your Well wishers , family and your best buddies will always be there to catch you even if you fall but don’t stop yourself From Flying if you really want to!!!

No Job in the world is problem free, every thing comes with pros and cons – even America’s President face problems!!  You think Govt. jobs are fun ask your elders what all they have been through to get there where you see them now. If you really really want do something – trust me its never too late to pursue your PASSION!!! It might not pay you much but the satisfaction that you’ll get when you do something from your heart is beyond compare. Yeh mat socho ki koyi kya kahega, kya sochega – Its your Life and Your Journey – Live it up!!

I received a SMS yesterday  that goes like this “Bina libaas aaye the hum iss Jahaan mein… Bus ek kafan ki khatir itna safar kiye ja rahe hain” Nice message and I agree Life is a journey from Birth to Death but what matters is what Little extra you did in between, how will people remember you? And you can’t escape this journey so if you have to travel why not just Enjoy it!!!

With just 4 months of experience in a Telecom company and 1 week in an IT company,  many of you will say i am no one to write this , in that case take this article about the ATTITUDE with which i want to start my career.

Your immediate response will be “Spend a few months in this industry and then we’ll see whether you crib {complain} or not!!” or “Every organisation is not the same, maybe you are lucky”

Well guys to start with why is it that we have no end to Expectations, i understand that we all should have expectations from our life, our organisations, our managers but does that mean nothing in this world meets your expectations..

I mean you enter a new place and start complaining that they don’t pay well, they don’t have good chairs or good infrastructure, they didn’t ask me what field i am interested in or on what platform we want to work on.

Tell me something, When you entered that organisation, who pushed you in, wasn’t it your choice.. And if you are not happy what are you still doing there???

I am not saying LIFE is perfect and why should it be , If  its perfect then its not reality  and i am sure you’ll agree with me when i say everything that happens in our life is because of  the choices that we make…

For Instance :- Your colleague asks you to take a break and to go out for some fun at a time when you are supposed to be in office and you say Yes, When you come back and your Manager kicks you out {i am sure he wont do that!!!} then who’s responsible for it Your colleague or YOU!!!

Obviously  Yours because you made that choice…

I AM  RESPONSIBLE…

FOR  WHO  I  AM…

FOR  WHAT  I  DO….

FOR  WHAT  I  HAVE….

So when its all your choice then why crib about the consequences, Why blame others for it.

But not everything is in your control and that you should be happy about everything. NO, you can criticize too and give your opinion  but don’t just dig problems and bug everyone in the organisation they are already loaded with lots of them,  search for a SOLUTION!!!

Tell me what is the difference between you and 1000′s of other Engineers who pass out every year.. Nothing,  So before you ask for more reach a point where you can be differentiated with those 1000′s of other Engineers…

The last point goes out to those friends who are over busy with their professional life that they don’t even have time for Family and Friends… Remember Life is like that Race we used to have when we were very young, in which we had to run with a spoon in our mouth containing A marble stone..

If the stone falls there’s no point of coming First!!!

When i say, I am a person who can live alone trust me i really can do that, because even if i have no one around me, I have someone always with me and that’s my thoughts… Yes those thoughts that fuels this and my other blogs…

Now where do these thoughts come from, the credit goes to you, yes you and all the other people who are around me. Observing people around me gives me the reason to write…

A man spitting on roads, a kid begging for something at a signal, a govt. employee running away from his duties, our politicians and the state of our nation are not only the reasons that pump me to write but also the small small things that happen around me…

Its true that not all individuals think on the same lines but after observing and living closely with a few people in my life, I sometimes wonder am i crazy to think with such a broad view point or the people are creating small boundaries around it…

We call Mahatma Gandhi – the father of nation but has the world forgotten the teachings of their father…
We run after his materialistic belongings but are slowly forgetting what ideals he gave us…

I have laughed upon when i bought a small car piece of our National flag and placed it on the dashboard of my car.
When terrorists attacked Mumbai i didn’t sleep till the operation got over and was following it on TV and twittering second – by – second about the events for the rest of the cyber world while some of us were not even bothered about what was going on in our own country as if their world is limited to their house and the people in it.

How can people think from such a narrow perspective, forget this events of national importance lets talk about some things that are related to the people around us…

People tell my why do i talk to and care about and connect with every person i meet, tell me whats wrong in being nice to people and talking to them, who made the rule that be nice to those who are nice to you..

My friends tell me why do you initiate something if the other person needs something he/she will come to you.. Come’on guys don’t you think God wants us to help each other.. “Pehle wo, pehle aap, pehle kaun” how does it matter..

They say people just use me and they don’t really care about you… Don’t you think i am brains and heart to realize that, of course i know who cares for me and who doesn’t but still i refuse to change. So what if they use me, I am glad i am of use for someone… That is the whole purpose of existence on this earth to be of help to others…

They say, “people insult you and you still give them a chance if i would have been at your place I would have never spoken to them or i would have given them a slap” come on do it that is what our great father of nation wanted, someone says something and you hit them back, someone hits you and you should hit double of that…
Why can’t this world understand “an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”
Ok i understand we should not give any one the right to insult us but if they do so and realize their mistake and apologize truly then i feel they should be forgiven because after all “galti karne wale se us galti ko maaf karne wala badha hota hai” and what will you get by hitting them back or by taking revenge just a moment of happiness and an enemy for a lifetime. Don’t you think its better to make the other person realize that where he/she went wrong and if they learn a lesson and change and feel sorry, i mean that’s the greatest thing because you managed to change the heart of a person..

when a person is unnecessarily angry and is shouting on you, you can do two things :-

1> start shouting back and take the situation out of control and make it more complex.
2> stay calm let the other person shout and relax, give him/her some water to chill down and trust me he/she will realize his/her mistake and will be really sorry but you know what you gained from it >
RESPECT and Honour by staying calm..
So what you someone insulted you for a moment when they were angry over something else , if you shout back and react then what is the difference between that  person and you…
Stay calm and you’ll get respect…

But seriously sometimes i really think where is this world heading to, and till when i can preserve these ideals in me…

You can all say that i am wrong or crazy but this is how i am and this is what i believe in and this is the path I’ll follow…

· Save it for a rainy day: The second lesson is the forgotten power of savings. The ‘savings mentality’ has always been a hallmark of the Asian culture. India, for one, has always had a high rate of savings – a phenomenon that is getting eroded with a new culture of consumerism sweeping across our cities today. Interestingly, America, which is home to 5% of the world’s population, accounted for 30% of global production and 37% of global consumption during boom times! On an individual level in the recent crisis, the ninja loans reflect this mentality, but collectively it made the entire country vulnerable to risk. And there were those who saw the warning signals.

In 2005, when the times were good, economists Paul Volcker and Clyde Prestowitz, pointed out that America was vulnerable due to all the leveraging, and predicted that a financial crisis could soon hit its shores. This has come true and – be it at a macro level or a micro level – it highlights a forgotten lesson on the power of savings and that that we should leverage only to the extent we can afford to service our debt. Its time for a “back to basics” approach, old fashioned as it may seen. Save and plough back in good times, and not fritter liquid assets away.

My Dear Raj,

My apologies for having to communicate through the editorial pages of a newspaper, but frankly am left with little choice since you seem to have decided to stay away from the so-called ‘national’ non-Marathi media. Let me at the very outset say that I am impressed with the manner you have carved a niche on the political landscape of Maharashtra. I distinctly remember meeting you in February last year soon after the Mumbai municipal corporation elections. It wasn’t the best of times: your party, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena had been marginalized while your cousin Udhav Thackeray and the Shiv Sena had captured power in the city. With many of your supporters deserting you, you appeared down, if not quite out. Twenty months later, I see you’ve bounced back: every local and national daily has you on the front page, you are the subject of television debates and your politics has even united Bihar’s warring netas.

And yet, my friend, there is a thin line between fame and notoriety, more so in the fickle world of politics. Bashing north Indian students may grab the headlines, getting arrested may even get you sympathy and strident rhetoric will always have a constituency, but will it be enough to secure your ultimate dream of succeeding your uncle Bal Thackeray as the flagbearer of Marathi asmita (pride)?

If Balasaheb in the 1960s rose to prominence by targeting the south Indian “lungiwala”, you have made the north Indian “bhaiyaa” the new ‘enemy’. In the 1960s, the Maharashtrian middle class in Mumbai was feeling the pressure of job competition for white collar clerical jobs. Today, it seems that there is a similar sense of frustration at losing out economically and culturally to other social groups in Mumbai’s endless battle for scarce resources. With the Congress and the NCP having become the real estate agents of the state’s rural-urban bourgeoise and the Shiv Sena a pale shadow of its original avatar, the space has been created for a charismatic leader to emerge as a rabble-rouser espousing the sons of the soil platform.

But Raj, I must remind you that electoral politics is very different from street agitations. Sure, round the clock coverage of taxis being stoned and buses being burnt will get you instant recognition. Yes, your name may inspire fear like your uncle’s once did. And perhaps there will always be a core group of lumpen youth who will be ready to do your bidding. But how much of this will translate into votes? Identity politics based on hatred and violence is subject to the law of diminishing returns, especially in a city like Mumbai, the ultimate melting pot of commerce. Your cousin Udhav tried a “Mee Mumbaikar” campaign a few years ago that was far more inclusive, but yet was interpreted as being anti-migrant. The result was that the Shiv Sena lost the 2004 elections – Lok Sabha and assembly – in its original citadel of Mumbai. Some statistics suggest that nearly one in every four Mumbaikars is now a migrant from UP or Bihar. Can any political party afford to alienate such a large constituency in highly competitive elections?

Maybe, your not even looking at winning seats at the moment, but simply staking claim to the Sena legacy in a post Bal Thackeray scenario. Perhaps, thats exactly what the ruling Congress-NCP combine in Maharashtra wants: like a market leader who gets competing brands to crush each other, the Congress-NCP leadership seems to be practicing divide and rule politics once again. They did it with Balasaheb and the communists in the 1960s, with Bhindranwale and the Akalis in the 1980s, even with the Kashmir valley politicians in the 1990s. A larger-than-life Raj Thackeray suits the ruling arrangement in Maharashtra because it could erode its principal rival, the Shiv Sena’s voter support. It’s a dangerous game, but often when politicians run out of ideas, they prefer to play with fire. It’s a fire that could leave Mumbai’s cosmopolitanism scarred for life.

Now, before you see my writings as the outpourings of an anglicized non-resident Maharashtrian, let me just say that, like you, I too am proud of my roots. I too, would like to see the cultural identity of Maharashtrians preserved and the economic well-being of our community assured. Where we differ is that I am a citizen of the Republic of India first, a proud Goan Maharashtrian only later. Fourteen years ago, I left Mumbai for Delhi to seek professional growth and was distinctly fortunate to be readily embraced by the national capital. Like millions of Indians, I too am a migrant and a beneficiary of a nation whose borders don’t stop at state checkpoints.

Moreover, I cannot accept that ‘goondaism’ is the way forward to forging a robust Maharashtrian identity. By vandalizing a shop or stoning a taxi, what kind of mindless regional chauvinism are we promoting? Taking away the livelihood of a poor taxi driver or beating up some defenceless students from Bihar reflects a fake machismo that is no answer to what ails Maharashtrian society today. The Maharashtra I once knew was inspired by the progressive ideals of the bhakti movement, by a Shahu-Phule-Ambedkar legacy of social reform. Are we going to dismantle that legacy under the weight of hate politics?

When you started your party a few years ago, it had been pitched as a party committed to a “modern” Maharashtra. If that vision still stands, why don’t you take it forward in real terms? Why don’t you, for example, set up vocational courses and technical institutes for young Maharashtrians to make them competitive in the job market? Why not, for that matter, start English-speaking classes for Maharashtrian students to equip them for the demands of the new economy? If cultural identity is such a concern, why not launch a statewide campaign to promote Marathi art, theatre and cinema by financially supporting such ventures? If Mumbai’s collapsing infrastructure worries you, then target the politician-builder nexus first. And isn’t it also time we realized that Mumbai is not Maharashtra, that the long suffering Vidarbha and Marathwada farmer needs urgent attention? Why not use your political and financial muscle to start projects in rural Maharashtra instead of focusing your energies on Mumbai’s bright lights alone? An employment generation scheme in a Jalna or a Gadchiroli may not make the front pages, but it will have far greater value for securing Maharashtra’s future.

Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra!

P.S:- We all are quite aware of the situation in Maharashtra which is actually a big insult of the constitution of this great nation.The path taken by Raj thackeray shows how much he respects this nation and the citizens and as rajdeep mentions in the last para if he would have been serious about his vision he could have taken these steps instead of taking the path of “gundagardi”…

so all i can say now is “get well soon” Raj!!!
